We call this wire as a ‘razor’ occasionally.

Wire saws are similar in principle to belt saws or portable power saws with a reciprocate saw, also known as jigsaw or sabre saw (the point being shaped like the tooth of saber-toothed tiger), but they use abrasion to cut rather than saw teeth. Contingent upon the use, the diamond materials abrasive usage is having a chance of 40-60. The cable may pursue one element or numerous elements plaited collectively (rope). A single-element saw can be coarsened for being abrasive, abrasive mixes can be fused to the wire, or diamond-saturated globules (and insertions) may be filament on the cable. Wire saws are sometimes chilled and greased by H2O or lubricant.

The Diamond Wire Saw (DWS) is a subsea or surface cutting solution designed for cutting pipelines, multistring casings, piles, platform legs, wellheads or topsides equipment. The DWS is perfect for speedily carving through unlike things and fighting compressive powers.
